Lime Rock Park (4 1/2 miles from Interlaken)
One of the most unusual tracks in the U.S., and the popular site for
Skip Barber Racing School races, Lime Rock Park is a 1.53-mile road
course with professional and amateur road racing, car shows and antique
auto festivals. Opened in 1957 by Jim Vaill, Lime Rock Park hosts major
professional races on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.
Pro races make up a very small part of the Lime Rock Park Schedule.
Generally there are one or two SCCA National races and a large number
of SCCA regionals occurring at the track during the course of a year.
In addition, there are a large number of Club Dates put on by organizations
such as the Porsche Club of America, the BMW Car Club of America, Aston Martin
Owners Club, Jaguar Owners Club, Audi Quattro Club USA, Vintage Sports Car Club
Of America (VSCCA), Ferrari Club of America and more.
Tthe East Coast headquarters of the Skip Barber Racing School is located
nearby in Lakeville, and Lime Rock Park is one of the most popular sites
for Skip Barber schools and races.
