White Flower Farm maintains 5 acres of display gardens, open to the public free of charge. Visitors enjoy our ever-changing display gardens and usually find an idea or two to try in their own gardens. In late summer, our Butterfly Border (pictured) is always colorful and as attractive to human visitors as it is to winged visitors.

Formal gardens open June thru September on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12 to 5. House and Stables open by appointment only. The house, home of Chauncey Stillman a investor and philanthropist, is Georgian brick and contains Chippendale, George II, Louis XV and XVI furnishings. Sargent, Cassatt and Degas are represented in the art collection.

From 1930 to 1960 Innisfree was the private garden of Walter and Marion Beck. In 1960 Innisfree Foundation under the stewardship of landscape architect Lester Collins opened the garden to the public. Both Beck and Collins saw in Eastern design techniques a way of giving American garden art a new creative impulse and range. Innisfree explores a Chinese garden design concept. Walter Beck devised the term "cup garden" to describe this concept.

Nestled in the scenic Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts, the Berkshire Botanical Garden (BBG) offers visitors a peaceful refuge of natural beauty, stunning display gardens, exciting community events, and informative classes for all ages and levels of skill and knowledge.

Their collections (over 3,000 species and varieties) emphasize plants that thrive in the Berkshires and are displayed in an informal, country setting. The display gardens are laid out on a residential scale to inspire and inform the home gardener.
